ASA 101 – Basic Keelboat
Basic Keelboat is offered midweek in spring and fall as well as weekends throughout the season. The 2 day course provides "on the water" training on a 22' tiller sailboat. This boat is ideal for novice sailors to master basic sailing skills and to develop teamwork. Instruction begins with a complete review of terms and concepts included in your home study package. It progresses to "hands on" skill building while focusing on maneuvering, docking, practical navigation rules, safety and more.

Prerequisite: None required. A preparatory Standard with no auxiliary power or navigation skills required.

Course Fee: $250.00, plus $20 for ASA certificate. For classes beginning 10/1/2007 or later, a $39 one-time fee will be charged to set up new students in the ASA system. Food and lodging not included
Required Material: Sailing Fundamentals $21.95 + study materials provided by AYC

Cancellation Policy: We will be unable to offer refunds for any reason if cancellations occur within 45 days prior to class. For cancellations outside 45 days, 50% of the total amount will be forfeited.
